We had heard how good it was and decided to try it. It may have cost us a little more than the Roadhouse but it was our 51st anniversary. We will take it anytime over the Roadhouse. The atmosphere is great, not noisy at all and the food was very good. The help was super nice. We had went there in the old days, 50 years ago and it is totally remodeled. We ARE going to go back again. It was a great experience.

The place had been reinvented and newly reopened. Interior cleaned and painted with tables, booths and chairs arranged to complement the new menu. No longer serving any Mexican food or breakfast, Klamm's Shell is now a steakhouse, patterned after the concept of Quincy's Steakhouse in Florence and a few other smaller mountain communities. The menu is small with few options. This is done to focus on quality by making it operationally easier to execute. Im a fan of this concept when done well. 3 steak and prime rib offerings and one salmon plate. All entrées include a dinner salad, garlic toast, roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Pricing about par with Texas Road House and way below 21 Steaks at the riverwalk. The steak quality and preparation far better than TRH however side portions are smaller. Very close to 21 Steaks quality without exorbitant ala carte pricing. Service was good and staff were attentive. Alcoholic drinks were done well and reasonably priced. We had 8 oz sirloins which were cooked as ordered and tender. Tried one of 3 dessert options and it was very good (pistachio cake). They did a good job making this a comfortable meal but don't expect a high end steak house experience. The building is historically old and parking may be a challenge since it's all street side with just a few angled spots near the door. Worth a try and worth the price for what you get. Very glad to have another steak house option in town. I'm anxious to get other Puebloan's take on the experience.

definitely a pueblo favorite. they have all the good pueblo foods - sloppers, enchiladas, sopapillas, chicken tacos on white, pork and avocado burritos, green chile, red chile, burgers, bottomless homemade salsa, schooners! the owners and employees are so nice. the food is excellent, the margaritas are tasty, four domestic beers on tap, nice local crowd.

Always five stars in my book, and Steve still owes me a black baseball cap..:) , and collect I will, Steve is, and always has been a great bar owner, and friend, their green chile, and food are excellent, and the beer is always plentiful, and COLD, thanks for many years of great service, and friendship. I now live in Superior, Colorado, but always come to Northern for what I miss most about my home town....see you all on the go around.

Pueblo locals come here for a few things... tomato beers, the ambiance, and mexican food. My mother used to work here so I used to be a little regular back in the day! New owners took over and its stood some what the same! The food used to be a lot better but they kept the rope lights around the bar! You can catch the hung over people here on Sundays for one thing: MENUDO! Here they have some pretty homemade delicious menudo! Ive had their enchiladas and chicken tacos and both are hit or miss! Their rice is disgusting and watery like Mill Stops so that right there makes me a happy camper! Another thing locals come for are the large schooner tomato beers! I myself am not a tomato beer girl, but I do love the bartenders and waitstaff. They take care of you and make sure youre happy. The price is pretty ok, and they have specials!! Go check them out and get some hangover remedy! LOL
